IS DRAKES GHOSTWRITER LEGIT?A couple days ago a woman came out and said she wrote some of Drakes tracks, specifically the more emotional ones. The thing about ghostwriting rumors or allegations is that they're extremely easy to start and almost impossible to disprove. It's also a great way for a nobody to get attention because ghostwriting is such an attractive topic in Hip Hop. This is why you'll have a lot of bitter/ jealous artists accuse someone higher up than they are of getting their tracks ghostwritten. You really have to take any allegations with a grain of salt. Now, I have no idea if this girl is telling the truth or not. I doubt it, mainly because the type of tracks she's saying she did are ones you don't really need a ghostwriter for. Love songs are the easiest type of tracks to do.
WHAT IF IT'S TRUE?My question is, say that these rumors are true and this girl really did write some tracks for Drake, would you stop listening to him? Say your favorite song of all time is Drake's 'Marvins Room' and then you found out that this girl wrote it for him, would you erase that song off your iPod and never listen to it again just because Drake didn't write it? Would the song itself be less musically appealing to you because of how it was made, despite listening to it for years and loving it? Would you deprive yourself of listening to your favorite song of all time once you knew the artist didn't write the whole thing? I'm guessing not and I think you'd be dumb as hell if you did. It would be like a charity turning down someones money because they disagree with how they got that money.
To sum it up I think this girl is full of it and just wants some buzz/ money off of what Drakes moving. Drake may very well have a ghostwriter for his actual rapping tracks but definitely not for his love song shit. I think I’ll do some more on this topic soon though. How fans should react when finding out one of their favorite songs has been ghostwritten. We talked a bit about it before and heres links to those pages but I don’t think we went nearly as deep as we could of.
